X06's Review of Trijicon 3x30 ACOG Scope w/ Remington .223 Crosshair Reticle & TA60 Mount

I purchased this TA33 with the crosshair reticle from OP. It came mounted in the factory base. The crosshair appears slanted by about 15 degrees. The bottom of the vertical crosswire points off to the side of the housing center. It looks like it's leaning 15 degrees left and it's pretty darned annoying. I had other experienced shooters look thru the optic also and without any prior suggestion from me they thought it looked crooked to them as well. I sent it back to Trijicon and they returned it saying that the reticle is actually straight, it just appears crooked. I suppose that's possible but a brief explanation as to the characteristics of this particular optic/reticle and why they cause the reticle to appear crooked would have made the whole process seem more reputable. They did mention something about the 4x32 having distortion on one side in order to remove parallax, that's great but this is a different scope, not sure what the relevance of that is. Bottom line - this isn't an entry level or low end optic and if they have a known issue Trijicon should include documentation in the operator's manual informing the purchaser of it and explaining why it's necessary.
