SDG's Review of Trijicon AccuPower RS-24 1-4x24mm Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube, Second Focal Plane (SFP)
Let me start by saying that I love Trijicon products and already own a number of ACOG and RMR optics, so I figured I'd give one of their LPVO options a shot. The glass is pretty good from edge to edge, the reticle is great for fast target acquisition, and the illumination is bright enough to be usable other than in the dark. I really like the minimalist throw lever, and overall, it feels like a durable scope that will take a beating and last for a very long time.
On the other hand, the 1-4 magnification was a bit on the low side when the scope was introduced, and while this model is falling behind as 1-6 and 1-8 are becoming the norm and 1-10 has hit the market, the low magnification does allow for a decent eyebox at this price point. That said, I bought a Vortex Viper PST Gen II 1-6 a few months after the AccuPower, and the Vortex in my opinion is a better optic than the Trijicon in almost every way for about the same price.
So, would I buy it again? Yes, but only if I wanted the super-quick circle reticle for 1x magnification while maintaining decent BDC functionality at 4x magnification. It's a really good all-around optic, which suits its current purpose just fine, but there are more competitive options which have hit the market since its release which might be a better fit for your specific application.
