Dave's Review of Trijicon AccuPower 1-8x28 Rifle Scope MOA Segmented-Circle Crosshair w/ Red LED
I'm very happy and impressed with this optic, especially for the price. I currently have it mounted in a Geissele standard 0 moa super precision mount, on my HK MR556A1 and paired with Black Hills 77gr TMK. It's a very precise pairing, I am blown away at the accuracy I am able to achieve and how intuitive the LPVO is to use. The reticle makes a very awesome "box of death" at 200 yards @ 8x on a man size target. Just get center mass in there and you don't miss. Very fast to find targets and start getting hits. If you hear people tell it on the streets, the only way to go is a NF ATACR 1-8. This scope completely fits the role I've placed it into, which is a "tactical" setup, and it is more suited to be a "see it, send it" type optic. It is perfect for an assaulter setup, or a do it all rifle, 2 or 3 gun, or a ranch rifle. That's not to say it isn't well suited for precision work, but there are better options out there if you're trying to shoot very tiny groups at distance with a 1-8x. I will say, the NF ATACR does indeed have better glass, but this is right behind it. The Trijicon glass is slightly better than the Vortex Razor HD II glass, and has similar edge to edge clarity. I will say there is no better option out there at this price point. I will be purchasing 2 more for other projects. I'm very happy with it.
