Nick's Review of Trijicon AccuPower 4-16x50 Rifle Scope

I actually purchased this from dvor.com, but since its part of optics planet I thought I'd share my experience where more people will see it. If you want a one sentence review: brick s***house that's very clear and well built. Here's the rest: the scope is very clear and definitely well made. Some people have complained about the clarity at 16x, though I haven't seen any similar behavior in mine. The only thing I would change are the adjustment turrets. While they are well protected under the aluminum caps, the knobs are made of plastic. The internal parts are of metal construction, but I'm questioning why they skimped at this point. They definitely are not cheap enough for me to question the quality of the scope, however. This is a scope that you would more or less zero once and then use the corrections in the reticle to adjust for wind and elevation(which is more practical and easier for me anyway). Dvor/Optics Planet packaged this thing extremely well, something I was worried about initially with a scope this expensive. Would highly recommend it at the price I got it for at Dvor(roughly 625) otherwise at full MSRP of 1000 I'd do more shopping around. Great and well built scope.
Pros:
  • rugged
  • Clear
Cons:
  • Plastic Adjustment Knobs
Would Recommend: Yes
