Great optic... fantastic price! - Trijicon ACOG 3x30 Scope, Dual Illuminated Horseshoe/Dot .223 Ballistic Reticle w/ TA60 Mount, Amber TA33H

I spent a great deal of time researching optics for my new DDM4V11. I vacillated between several different options including an EoTech EXPS3, a Primary Arms 1-6x, a Vortex Viper PST 1-4x, an Aimpoint T2, and finally an ACOG. After some time, I narrowed it down to a choice between Aimpoint and Trijicon... and I eventually chose the TA33H. I'm currently very happy with my choice, and here's why:

1. Last weekend I had the opportunity to shoot my buddy's T2 (w/ Larue mount) and -- for me -- the reticle of the TA33 seemed way easier to see and distinctly clearer. The reticle is very crisp and bright.

2. The TA33 reticle allows for quick ranging adjustment.

3. The TA33 -- as compared to some of the other ACOG models -- offers fantastic eye relief. I found it just as easy to quickly acquire my target with the 3x magnified TA33 as I did with the 1x Aimpoint. Truth.

4. I got a fantastic deal on the TA33H (amber) from Optics Planet. I'm not sure whether the stars were in alignment or what, but the price I ended up paying was nearly $200 less than I can currently find them. Optics Planet folks provided great customer service (via chat) and made an effort to hook me up with an awesome deal.
