Trijicon Acog TA31TRD
I've owned several mid-range scopes for my AR rifles. I'm on a SWAT team and the shooting conditions we encounter vary significantly. We have to be able shoot at ranges from 1 meter to 400 meters with the same weapon. I found red dot scopes don't work well at long range as the red dot usually covers the entire target. And it is very difficult to acquire a close range target through a scope with any significant magnification. The ACOG TA31TRD is the perfect scope for our use. ACOG w/ redot sight 8.0 MOA
Awesome ACOG.Quick and easy target acquisition, nice and clear two eye operation. Didn't give overall 5 stars because red dot is not waterproof, real nice sight though. The RMR's are waterproof and I think that's what Trijicon is going with now. If I where out in the combat zone I would definitely go with BOTH units being water tight. Kind of surprised that Trijicon would match these up in the first place.

ACOG w/ top redDot
Perfect combination of form and function. IMO (and apparently the US gov.'s as well since most elite units use a similar military version) it's really the only thing you need to add sight wise to your rifle. Excellent scope with the ACOG for farther distances, and the top mounted redDot gives quick on target time when those zombies start getting close. EXCELLENT PRODUCT.

Simply the best
This is a superior product. For hard LE and Mil use this is IT. I have not owned a finer optic. The ACOG and the TRD have always functioned flawlessly.

Exactly what I expected
Exactly as advertised, technically better than what was available in-country. It mounted to the Stag Arms 2T in seconds, and sighted in nicely in a few minutes. I very much liked the naturally varying illumination of the sight based on ambient conditions. It works well. The short range red dot on top also works well. It's a nice supplement given the relatively short eye relief of the main sight.
By the way, I love the JN8:12.

Trijicon TA31TRD
Absolutely the best scopes we have ever purchased. They were ready to mount on our new Remington R-15 rifles. No additional mounting hardware needed.Using a laser boresight, we had them both zeroed in very quickly.

mounted it on my M4 and it works great sighted it in for 100 yards and gets 1 inch groups no problem with cheap ammo. red dot not even worth sighting in unless you want extreme accuracy. but easily gets on paper out of the box at 20 yards scope was on paper at 100yds out of the box. great product.

Trijicon ACOG TA31TRD
This optic is great for a rifle used for close quarters and distance shooting. The fit and finish are excellent, and the optics are very clear. I didn't know anyone with this product so I took a leap of faith because I never held one, but I would recommend it highly.
