Most Helpful Positive Review Works great with H&K VP9
I purchased these sights for use on my H&K VP9 and can report that they work perfectly for that model handgun as well. Contrary to what I have read elsewhere, no filing or fitting was necessary. It was a simple matter of using my MGW Sight Pro tool to remove the old sights and install the new sights. I have quite a few handguns which are old enough (7-10 years) that the Tritium vials have begun to dim considerably, so for the past few months I have been replacing them with new sights. The bright orange outline front sight of the Trijicon HD and the Ameriglo Pro i-Dot series of sights makes...

Makes all the difference in the world!

by Debi, Verified Owner from NJ, United States Written on April 3, 2018
Awesome Night Sight. Love the yellow, Makes all the difference in the world! A friend suggested I try this, and I am so glad I did.
The bright front sight post is extremely easy to acquire, which makes all the difference if you need to fire quickly and accurately. Also, shooting in low light conditions is greatly improved. The sights feel very durable.
I would highly recommend these sights to anyone with a handgun, and I will be installing them on my pistols at home used for self defense purposes.
Only con is it needs to be installed by a gunsmith. I had to send my rail back to H K for installation for an additional cost.
Pros:
  • Durability
  • Able to easily visualize the sight and aim without difficulty!
  • Front sight acquisiton
Cons:
  • Requires professional installation
Best Used for:
  • Target shooting, self defense purposes

Trijicon P30 night sights

by JP, from OH, United States Written on April 14, 2017
Awesome sights with orange front sight. Quick acquisition of target and front sight makes these better than stock. Night time sight picture is excellent. Just n Ed to be cautious that front blade is taller than stock and may affect some holsters.

Good purchase

Nice sight picture from the bright front dot and deep, U-shaped rear. Solid construction with a nice edge on the rear sight to rack the slide. A good improvement on the (still nice) factory luminescent sights. Similar brightness to the HK factory tru-dot sights if you happen to prefer this front/rear arrangement.

Great sights

by Christopher, from FL, United States Written on January 12, 2017
First, I'll give you the bad. The rear sights are extremely sharp. When carrying my VP9 in a IWB holster, the rear sight would literally cut me when I bent over. To remedy this, I used a fine file, and smoothed the rear corners. Beyond that, these are the best iron sights I have ever used. I used to use XS Big dots, these are just as fast to pick up, but are much more precise.

By far the best!

by Ryan, from GA, United States Written on December 17, 2016
I've tried them all and the Trijicons HD's are my favorite. They are very visible in all light settings. I have them on all my pistols. The orange and yellow is going to come down preference. I have both and prefer the yellow.

Trijicon Night Sights

by G-Rock, from CA, United States Written on April 16, 2016
I installed a set of these night sights on my HK P30 and love them. Installation was straight forward and took less than an hour with me being super careful. Good for EDC but not good for one hand manipulation due to flat surface on the rear sights are not high enough without possibly scratching the top of the slide. Buy the HD version if you need that option. They are very close in shape to the stock sights the pistol came with. Overall, very happy with these sights.
Pros:
  • Warranty, Construction, Clarity
  • slim line look
Cons:
  • pricey, but you get what you pay for
  • Front sights not as bright as the HD version
Best Used for:
  • Everyday carry
  • Low light situations
  • Range shooting

Bright and well-built

by Mark, from KY, United States Written on March 5, 2016
Very bright tritium sights. A lot of people balk at the price, but when you know that tritium is made by bombarding Lithium-6 with high-energy neutrons in a nuclear reactor and that it costs $30,000 to produce, these are actually reasonably priced.
