The doctor optics sights don't have an on or off switch it is always on. The dimmer switch in it turns off when you put the plastic cap on it. Its always ready to use.
I own 4 doctor optics sights and plan to order another with the 10% off from this review.
Pros: It has an automatic dimmer which automaticly ajusts the brightness so you can always see the dot. It is way better quality than the cheaper Jpoint, trijicon TRD, and other copys. The doctor optic sights use Ziess glass not cheap plastic. The advantage of the MS01 and MS02 over the standard doctor sights is they are water proof.
Cons: You have to remove the sight to replace the battery in the bottom.
Would recommend: Yes
