I’m glad I spent what I did on this scope. I used others and found them difficult to operate . The clarity of the mklll is superior. Being able to see exactly what I’m looking at is comforting. I don’t want to kill a cow when I’m looking for a pig! I’m very happy with my choice. I don’t feel like I wasted my money. This is worth the extra cost in my opinion!

To all those looking into taking the plunge into thermal optics, look no further!! This is a game changer. I personally spent close to 18months researching different optics that would best fit my style of use for this type of optic. The clarity of picture, weight, battery life, and ease of use was all outstanding and exactly what I expected. I did use those 18months to save coin (this optic is on the higher side of cost, but definitely worth it) in order to purchase this particular sight. If one is not needing the Stadiametric range finder, than simply purchase the MKII version (MKII is about $1k cheaper). Trijicon warranty seems to be a good selling point as well. This optic is very durable, not flimsy, and stable. People have claimed the battery life is low on this unit, but I believe Trijicon is selling them now with the battery compartment upgrade already on the unit (at least mine was already on when purchased thru OP) with a 7.5hr run time with 3 CR123A batteries.

This is a great scope for hunters. it is set up to help in ranging targets which has always been an issue for me. judging distance thru a thermal is a pain, but there reticles make it pretty easy. the only drawback for me is you have to do the redneck holdover for you dope. there isn't any elevation mil dots like I have on my Armasight. This is only an issue if you are shooting at some distance at night which most people don't. if you are looking for recording please keep in mind that the video cable is about 180 dollars which is crazy.
