Finding tritium night sights to fit my particular pistol was very challenging. I have an IWI Jericho (enhanced) J941PL9-II, which is no longer manufactured. Several websites claimed they had sights to fit, but either weren't listed for my model or weren't actiually compatible as advertised. One fact I determined was the pistol needed 1911 sights, but even then that was confusing as my old Colt 1911 has a posted front sight, not a dovetail. My Jericho needs a dovetail fore and aft. So I discovered in a chat room that Novak 1911 Lomount sights would work and I thought what the heck, it's only money! These sights fit perfectly, although the clearance on the front sight is minimal, so don't take off too much material to fit. New sights are dead on target. I have the 0.185" post height (there are taller ones available).

Sight works well in low or broad daylight. The red ring, in my opinion is easier to pick up than the green outlines and does not washout in backgrounds in bright sunlight. Besides, most of us came up on red dot sights, not green. Tritium capsule is great in darkness. Blade is a bit wide though. It’s fine if you’re not looking for precision sights with lots of daylight on both sides of blade. Not my thing. I prefer tight front to rear sight picture and put point of impact above red dot.
Pros:
- Highly visibe day and night
Best Used for:
- Defense or quick acquisition

This set of Trijicon night sights has a bright orange ring around the tritium. The hi-vis orange helps me acquire the front sight much faster in daylight.

Have tried many day/night front sights and now have this one on most of my Novak sight cut 1911s. Comes in several heights so you can taylor to your particular firearms zero. Sturdy, reliable, rapid pick up day or night. Highly recommend.
Also use front and rear set available for most Glocks. Very happy with product.

I've put this sight on two 1911s so far. Highly visible night or day. Easy fit on a Springfield Armory, took a bit of fitting on a Tisas. Worked well with the stock rear sights; a Novak style on the SA and an LPA adjustable on the Tisas.
If you have a 1911 with Novak dovetail, go for it.

Have yet to find a gunsmith to install the front sight, however, I believe the contrasting orange ring surrounding the tritium center will be a significant help in quick sight alignment and the tritium a great assist in a low light point and shoot situation. Looking forward to the installation.
Cons:
- A little more expensive than other front sights

This night sight replaced an older tritium filled night sight. It's amazing how much easier it was for sight alignment while shooting at the range. My original sight never gave me the ease and comfort this sight did while target shooting. Accuracy increased and was achieved more easily.

For someone like me who's eyesight is starting to see fuzzy gun sights, I scored big time with the front orange night sight I had installed on my Springfield TRP. Even the traditional night sights seem to disappear during daylight shooting sessions. I highly recommend the shooting public give this one a try.
Pros:
- Highly visible during day and night time shooting at the gun range.
