Most Helpful Positive Review Worth Every Penny
This is my 3rd set of Trijicon HD Night Sights. No problem acquiring a sight picture at night with these beauties and they are just as good during the day. They are much better than the polymer sights that came on the Walter PPQ and not as much air space between the back blades. Easy to install and ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Trijicon HD Promises But Disappoints
I had debated between the Trijicon and the Dawson sights, and after reading the reviews for the Trijicon HD decided to order them for my Walther PPQ M2. The sight installation was a breeze thanks to the many videos out there on YouTube, and the overall performance of the sight has improved my shooti...

Better than stock sights, get install tool.

by Dough Boi, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on April 23, 2025
I love these sights, they look and feel so much better than the stock Walther sights. They fit great on my PPQ M1. Not only that but they are much more visible in no and low light settings, I was not disappointed.
My only suggestion is that if you decide to install them yourself make sure you have a front sight install tool, it’s nearly impossible without that!
Happy shooting!
Pros:
  • Good fit
  • sturdie well built
Cons:
  • Needs tool for install
Best Used for:
  • All

Dim Lamps & Wobbles (Low Tolerances)

by Microwaved Tilapia, from OR, United States Written on March 28, 2025
I got these sights for nearly half off ($94), but even that price is too high for this poorly engineered/manufactured sight.

This is my third set of Trijicon night sights, and they’re unquestionably the worst. Like the other reviewer mentioned, the rear sight has a lot of play allowing it to wobble forwards and backward in the dovetail. While I don’t think this will affect my accuracy it lends credence to other unseen defects being overlooked in the engineering/manufacturing process. The rear sight notch is also very wide compared to OEM P99 sights and other Trijicon night sights. Because of this, much more practice and training will be required to ensure accurate shot placement.

The sights themselves are also very VERY dim; about 15-20% dimmer than my ~10 year old TruDot night sights.

Overall, my confidence in Trijicon has been diminished, and I will be less likely to purchase a product from Trijicon in the future because of these sights.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Overpriced
  • Wobbles
  • Low Tolerances
  • dim lamps
  • wide notch
Best Used for:
  • Airsoft
  • Daytime use
  • Display only

Bright and durable

by DB, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on March 8, 2024
I have used Trijicon night sights for years and have found them to be bright, well made and durable. I put these sights on a Walther PPQ and the installation was very easy, but you do need a special tool to tighten the tiny nut on the front sight.

Trijicon hd yellow night sights

by Jim, from WV, United States Written on October 24, 2023
Sights are very good . My previous two sets were Trijicon hds but had the orange front sight. The yellow stands out better. My other two sets are still going strong after years of use.
Pros:
  • Sturdy, very visible
Cons:
  • Sharp edge on top of back sight can be hard on shirts

Trijicon HD sights for PPQ M2

by Byron, from FL, United States Written on January 27, 2018
Although I have not been to the range yet, I am thrilled with these sights. For those that don't know, the Walther PPQ comes with very basic plastic 3 dot sights. My aging eyes could use some help in picking up the front sight so I decided to look into some new sights. I decided on these for several reasons. They are metal, have a larger shelf for one handed slide manipulation, are tritium so they glow in dark/dim areas, and probably most importantly they have a large front luminescent front sight that jumps out at you in any lit area as the rear sight just appears black. It is also a much larger dot than the stock sights, again an aid in picking up the front sight faster. The front sight is wider with the bigger dot so more of the target is obscured. This is not a concern of mine in a self defense firearm.

As a bonus the PPQ's sights are simple to change. The front sight gets removed with a tiny allen wrench and the new one goes in with loctite and a hex screw. You may need a special tool to install the front sight but I had something on hand that worked in my toolbox. It is the limited space you have around the new hex head that is the issue. The rear sight is crazy simple, just push down a detent (with small flathead screwdriver) under the windage screw and slide it off to the left. Move the screw from the old sight to the new one and slide it in while holding down the detent and it locks in place. Videos exist online showing how it is done.
Pros:
  • Easy to install
  • High quality
Cons:
  • none yet

Great sights

by Chuck, from NH, United States Written on December 16, 2017
Huge improvement over stock sights! Yellow front really stands out. Fast sight picture and in low light they are bright. Only take a few minutes to install no gunsmith required. They do stand a little taller than the stock sights. Great if you conceal carry or for home defense.
Pros:
  • Great sight picture in any light
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Conceal Carry

Great sights

by Dave, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on May 20, 2017
I used these in IDPA, worked great under all light situations. Front sight is very bright, and rear sight has a nice wide cut out. You will need a 3/16 nut driver with a thin head for front sight, same as one for Glock front sight. Rear sight slides right in. Night sights are also nice Highly recommend this set up.
Pros:

Cons:
  • None

I'm glad I found the trijicon sights for my walther PPQ M2. I installed them myself very easy to do and they look great. They make a big difference. I have a great front sight to see and be able to get on target easier & faster. They are great at night and very bright. I am a happy customer.
