This sight set fits a S&W Mdl 915 9mm early 1990's era pistol
I originally purchased a Meprolite Novak style sight set for this pistol that did not fit. Rated 4 stars only because my gunsmith had to file a little bit on the rear sight wedge to get it to fit properly. Clearances were 5 thousanth difference. I expected these to fit as indicated without necessary filing/re-sizing. Otherwise once installation was complete in about 20 minutes sights fits perfectly, looks great, appears to produce proper sight / bore alignment. I have not yet fired firearm since sight installation, but I fully expect no problems. Very happy with end results. Thanks to OpticsPl...

Great Quality
Great quality night sight. Used this to adjust the point of impact on my Smith & Wesson 1076. Its narrower than the original but worded well. The 1076 uses a wider base for the front sight but this front sight fit works well. I needed to raise the point of impact so I installed this lower front sight.

Great sights!
I ordered the SA04Y set for my S&W 915 that I bought new in the early 80s. Of my 4 semi-auto pistols the 915 has always been my favorite, but lately my old eyes have had a hard time with the sights. Trijicon night sights were the only replacements I could find for the "non Novak" 915. I didn't think I needed night sights, but I knew I needed better sights, and hoped that these would be an improvement. I have to say I love them! Huge improvement - great in any or no light, and they dramatically improved my accuracy. The only problem is that now I want them for every gun I own...
Installation was fairly easy, but took a little time. Be careful removing the rear sight; there are springs for the mag disconnect and firing-pin safety under it. Remove the sight from left to right. The rear sight height had to reduced a bit to fit the dovetail (I believe this is normal). Using a sharpening stone, I slowly removed material from the bottom of the sight until it fit into the right side of the dovetail about 25% of the way, and then drove it home from right to left. The front sight needed no modification.

Excellent Night Site
I really like this sight. It is very easy to pick up day or night. Point of aim versus point of impact is identical to the origin sight so there was no need to change anything. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for the night sight for their S&W.
