Trijicon SA-08 Night sights (3rd Gen S&W compact)

I am a fan of metal framed pistols, never really got into the fantastic-plastic revolution... So, third gen S&W pistols really fit my wants/needs VERY well - especially the 6946/3953/CS9D double action only versions. Problem was, being that they were made in the 1990s, their night sights were so dim they were practically nonexistent. Thankfully, Trijicon still makes the sights so replacing them with brand new exact fit night sights was very straightforward. If you have a S&W that uses these sight, you will be impressed - super bright at night, easy to see white outlines during the day - overall fantastic sights, buy with confidence.

No better or worse than Originals

The white outline is larger than the Green or or Orange. The orange barely glows or stands out at all. I'm gonna put your sites in a drawer and keep my originals on my gun for now and keep shopping around untill i find better. In the daylight all the white dots just kind of blend together Especially if your target has a ladder background color. I think I can probably modify my original sites with some paint And do better Maybe someday your company can live up to its name.

Excellent product

This is exactly what you want, exact fitment, easy to pickup sight picture in low light or bright sunlight. Install was easy. You need a vise, hammer and a brass punch(drift). Remove and set screws on the old sight and drift out left to right. What out for your springs under the rear sight. I didn't need to file these any they started by hand then drift in right to left. Mind your springs that are under that rear sight.

Few simple things makes a gun better than having good sights. There's not much to do to an all gray Ladysmith besides scraping the name off, but it's such a great gun now. Changed the grips to black also....

Worked for me!

Trijicon customer support recommended this taller front sight to adjust the point of aim on my S&W 3904 which was shooting 3" high @ 15 yards with 147 grain subsonic bullets. This sight fit the dovetail exactly and dropped the 15 yard point of impact 3" for me, exactly as I wanted.

Tritium sights
