Good product, fits right

by Action Hank, from PA, United States Written on August 30, 2014
This quick-release mount is apparently made by Bobro, which has a good reputation. It has a locking mechanism to prevent accidental release. Although the tension lever provides good leverage to comfortably lock it in place, it alsp protrudes a bit more than I might like; unlike some of the ARMS mounts, it does not sit flush with the base, so there is a risk a sling, LBE, or clothing could catch on it under some circumstances. It is solidly built and manufactured to spec, so it fits M-1913 / P-Rails securely and locks in place tightly. The TA-33 scope nests securely into the top rececess. As with all TA-33's it is secured by a single point (can't say s_rew because the computer program thinks that type of fastener is not family friendly), but the raised edges of the recessed top platform fit flush with the scope's mounting bar and hold it securely with no side-to-side wiggle. It also uses less rail space and raises the scope more than the previous ARMS mount I used, which is a key feature if you are trying to place a canted red-dot or reflex sight adjacent to the scope for CQB.
Pros:
  • Sturdy Built
  • secure fit
  • reduced rail space use
Cons:
  • possible catch hazard
