Bob Heart's Review of Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated RM05 1x16 mm 9 MOA Reflex Sights
So far, I've owned both the green and amber triangle reticle as well as a 7 MOA amber dot RMR. Out of all three dual-illuminated sights, the amber dot rmr is easily 4x as bright in all lighting conditions and does not wash out nearly as much as the triangle sights when used with a flashlight.
Both triangle reticle sights are horrible indoors and only usable on a sunny day outside. They completely wash out with the use of a flashlight even in a very well lit room, and become completely unusable. I'm not sure if I'm just unlucky and got two defective triangle sights, but upon inspecting them, I've noticed that the triangle reticle has more fiber optic coils within the clear light window compared to the dot reticle.
Overall, I would NOT recommend any of these triangle reticle sights to anyone. The dual-illuminated dot sights work much better.
