The sight looks great and I’m sure operates well but I buy a $500 red dot and it doesn’t come with any sort of mounting plate or seal??? That’s cheap, poor marketing and doesn’t build brand loyalty. I’ll think twice about a Trijicon purchase in the future.

This Trijicon RMR is the first Adjustable version of the RMR that I have purchased. It is a one MOA Red dot is an Outstanding option for either a Primary or Backup optic system for any style of weapon system. It is excellent for the AR platform by itself up to hundred meters and is accurate at greater distances with additional magnification optic. Works on almost any handgun. Consumers must purchase the Trijicon RMR Sealing Plate, or the Trijicon RMR will develop Issues. Ideally the Trijicon RMR should come standard with this Sealing Plate. However, Trijicon gets you for that extra ten to sixteen dollars. It’s honestly a small price to pay for the reliability and piece of mind. I have mounted an RMR on an AR via American Defense QD Co witness mount. It is truly a solid piece of equipment, and it holds its zero as long as you install on the same TMark. I consistently average one and a tenth on Ten round groups at hundred meters with that particular AR. Now as for handguns I have a couple Trijicon RMR optics mounted on a Springfield Silent Operator MasterClass, and a FNH FNX Tactical. On the Springfield at twenty five Meters I average one and two tenths on five round groups. The FNX Tactical is averaging one and a quarter on five round groups. All in all, this version of the Trijicon RMR was very impressive especially at the price point that I was able to purchase this item for. Of all the different Trijicon RMR versions that I have, whether it’s the automatic brightness adjust...

this was my choice of the many red dot sights that are for sale , and I like it a lot . I can shoot with both eyes open very easy and the weight is so light . the 1 moa is just right for a rifle but would be small for a pistol .

The RMR is mounted on a FNX-45 Tactical. The first one failed after 50 rounds. I have received a replacement and hope it is better. I replaced a Burris FF3 mostly due to the advertised longer battery life of the RMR and the supposed ruggedness. The FF3 functioned fine and I actually prefer the way it functions but it wont take a drop as well as the RMR due to its lighter housing.
Cons:
- Reliability is not yet known
- most remove sight to change battery
- 2 buttons to adjust brightness

The 1moa dot is absolutely flawless. It's extremely easy to see, the auto brightness feature is really handy an keeps the rmr's dot the perfect brightness. The very sharp dot also makes longer range shooting possible.
Pros:
- Quality
- ruged construction
Best Used for:
- Long range handgun
- Rifle close quarters

The buyer beware part is because the RMR in the picture has a picatinny rail mount however it is not included with the RMR. You have to buy this separately and it adds another $75 to the overall purchase price. Not cool and misleading advertising in my opinion.
This is my first RMR and given its popularity I was a little disappointed. It is definitely durable and sits perfectly on a SIG 556. I was disappointed with the Red Dot. It was not as crisp and round as I expected it to be. The auto adjust work very well and I was impressed with it. I haven't fired at long-range yet but I have my reservations on how much of the target it will cover. When considering buying the RMR keep in mind what you were looking for in that red dot. I think it will be great on rifles contradictory to what most people say but I encourage you to research the RMR extensively before making a purchase. I like the 1 MOA but I did read somewhere that the 6.5 MOA may be more suitable for rifles.

Great products , does a nice job , works as advertised. The only thing I'd like to see Trijicon include is a cover like the cheaper Vortec . Otherwise very satisfied with this products ability to adjust from a very small dot to a larger easier to find dot when acquiring a target quickly.
