Intermittent - Trijicon RM06 RMR Type 2 1x16mm Reflex Red Dot Sight

I had one of these mounted on a Springfield XDM 9mm for about a year probably fired 500rds through it while the rmr was mounted no issues. I sold the pistol and kept the sight. I ended up putting it on a 10/22, first two mags through the rifle no problem, then it went dim and intermittent on/off. I replaced the battery did not fix the issue. Then I remembered reading an article about the rmr on concealed carry guns. The author stated he didn't have great faith in the battery mechanism and pried up on the battery contact ears every time the moved the sight to a different platform. So I decided to try this and have not had anymore problems from the sight on the 10/22 probably 1500rds fired since I tried the fix. This is a very fun sight on the 10/22. I have another rmr/acog system on an AR15 and have never had any problems out of it.
