It's a bit different from a traditional LPVO but nothing no one can't get use to but it's the best LPVO to me. I've used all the other big shots and I always find myself going to trijicon due to the design of the throw magnification.
Only dislike is the price today and the price I bought it years ago. Very very big difference. Bought it when no one cared about it but once influencers began to review the SCO, well let's just say the price sky rocketed.
Pros:
- Mounting
- Easy Reticle Pick Up
- Ingenious Magnification Throw
- 30 day battery on full brightness

Yet another solid optic from Trijicon. 100% exceeded my expectations. Withstands the beating from my scar 17 and running around in the mountains no problem.

I have purchased many Trijocon scopes over the years, the 1-6 vcog is far superior to the 1-8. The 28mm is much better aesthetic look then the 34mm tube. additionally, if your going to get this quality of optic, you should spend the extra few hundred dollars and get a proper triton QD mount. The tech mount does not fit properly. The cross chairs and the radical are slightly off. Most people probably won’t have a problem with this, but if you’re someone who really pays attention to the details and are willing to spend $5,000 to 10,000 on a single AR build do not buy this scope. You will end up replacing it as I have.

I’ve been looking around for a while and finally decided on the SCO VCOG. This is truly a work of art and a high quality piece of equipment. It’s expensive, but I have no regrets and would highly recommend this scope for serious shooters. I followed the instructions right out of the box, quickly mounted the scope, and was immediately in business.

I upgraded from a trijicon accupower 1-8 with the same reticle, which for the money was amazing but this is an upgrade in every way. Love the larue mount. That’s what I use for most my optics already so it actually offset the cost of this and the other variants of this optic. Love the caps vs the yellow ones that came with my accupower. If you can’t afford this, find a used accupower or whatever line they use now for the mid tier ffp 1-8. If you can afford this, you’ll be happy you bought it.

I am extremely happy with this scope. I can see why the USMC chose this optic, it is robust in features and simple to set up. Seems indestructible. I love the reticle at all powers it's so crisp. The glass is crystal clear. I mounted it on my SCAR heavy and they pair nicely. Thanks Optics Planet!
