Most Helpful Positive Review Trijicon ACOG TA11E-KIT Best Optic for FN SCAR 17s
I was looking for the best optic for my .308 FN SCAR. I have four leupold Mark 4s, three EoTech EXPS3/2-0 units on other of my long guns but wanted to explore another option for the scar. I'm really glad I opened my eyes to the ACOG. I did replace the TA51 mount with a QD LT-104 so I could R&R the ACOG easy and allow clearance for the reciprocating charging handle on the SCAR. When I first mounted the ACOG and used a laser to do the initial siting I was amazed how close it was out of the box. The elevation and windage adjustments are crisp and done with fingers not tools. The fiber optic ligh...

Great Quality and Accuracy

by Brandon Caputo, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on June 28, 2024
I’m very happy with the TA11. The chevron reticle is very easy to get used to. Zeroing the acog was very easy, I maybe went through 20 rounds until I got it dialed in to where I like it. If you own an AR platform rifle and are trying to avoid the heavy weight of an LPVO, the TA11 is an outstanding option. Optics Planet was great to deal with. They had it shipped out to me in less than a week. I will absolutely be buying from them again.
Pros:
  • Durability
  • Ease of use
  • accuracy
  • Weight
  • field of view
  • reticle
  • Years of superior quality
  • years of military use
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Close Range
  • mid range
  • AR plaatform

Acog 3.5x35 green chevron

by Brandon, from VA, United States Written on April 26, 2023
After ordering a 4x32 Acog for my ar-15 I had to get this one for my ar10. So worth the money. The lense on these Acog s are so crisp and clear and the reticles are as well. I now own 2 Acogs and I’ll never use another scope.

Trijicon Chevron

by Brandon, from MN, United States Written on January 2, 2022
This scope is worth every penny, the clarity easily allows fast target acquisition. The other thing is the durability with a weapon known to be very hard on glass. Mounting was easy and straightforward. Adjustment was thought out with the attached ring caps. This scope is bullet proof.

TA-11 on SCAR 17

by Robert 660, from AZ, United States Written on September 11, 2021
I ran an Eotech on mine for a long time. Great to 100 yards, but my eyes are long past the ability to site in past that. Last year I went to a TA-11 ACOG on the recommendation of my gun shop owner. It is like night and day. I can usually hit steel at 300 yards, which is the limit of my local range. I liked it so much I put a TA-33 with RMR on my Wilson Combat AR. I am not too pleased with the eye relief, but the RMR is there for quick close shots, so I can take another second to get the Chevron on target for farther distance. I love these ACoGs! I have another TA-11 on layaway for my SCAR 16!
Pros:
  • Built like a tank
  • Easy zero
  • Able to survive on a SCAR 17
  • Very accurate for what it is
  • Superlative glass
Cons:
  • Cost. But, you get what you pay for!
Best Used for:
  • Range, self defence

Excellent scope

by JIMMY B, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on June 28, 2020
Perfect reticle, sharp clear. The only downside is price. If you can swallow the cost then you will like it a lot. I like the tritium and fiber optic illumination. in my opinion the tritium is a little dim but it still works fine.

Awesome Scope

by Danny Hoskins, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on March 24, 2020
I would highly recommend one of these. I got one for a SIG Sauer R716 and absolutely love it. If you have any 308 that you are looking to add a scope to, get this one! The eye relief is very good. Easy to install and I’d give it an A++

ACOG equals Quality

by J, from CO, United States Written on August 28, 2019
If you can afford it, consider buying this product. Built to take punishment, quality glass, and an excellent reticle. Only thing to consider is the minimum eye relief, other than that; if you have a flattop gas gun I would highly recommend this as an option.
Pros:
  • Built to last, quality glass
Cons:
  • Minimum eye relief
Best Used for:
  • Any flattop AR 10 Style rifle

Very Small Reticle but Bright

by Texas, from TX, United States Written on October 20, 2018
The product is solid and is of quality construction. However, it is heavy and the eye relief can be improved. The reticle is very small and but bright. The black numbers on the reticle are small and difficult to see against a dark target.
