Excellent way to mount a scope . It grips the dovetail very tightly and allows use of heavy-duty rings designed for a 1 inch base . It holds tight and raises the scope about a half inch while extending the length of the mounting area. I've used these on a few magnum springers and even one Mosin Nagant Russian military rifle . It works .

How can I write this politely?
This was not a good purchase. The dovetail mount and weaver base did not seem to be centered with each other. I mounted it and was hitting far right, switched it around and was hitting far left, something like 10 inches at 50 feet. I didn't feel comfortable adjusting my scope that far. Also the Weaver base was undersized. I had to try 4 different bases before I came across one that would mount to it, all bases I had used on Picatinny/Weaver rails in the past. I probably could have made this work by making adjustments to my bases but I decided to save myself the time and returned it to Optics Planet with no issues. The price of this item was good.
