Nothing fancy but gets it done

It's about as simple as a free float hand guard gets. Install barrel nut, twist on the hand guard.
Use blue Loctite on the hand guard threads to secure it. I suspect with no anti-twist screws it could twist, so I figured it was a good remedy for that. But there is enough area to the rear of the barrel nut that you could drill and tap holes for screws. I chose not to do this, but may later.
But at least for once the price more closely matches the device. Aluminum tubes just shouldn't cost much.
It has a fair gripping area, and seems pretty sturdy. The machining is very good, and the finish is good.
But if you want to install rails or sling attachments, you'll have to do the work yourself.
Still, it looks pretty good, is just about perfect in diameter, and it clears a low profile gas block easily.
So if you are looking to build an AR with a free float HG without all the bells and whistles, this is your huckleberry.
