Installed this myself. If you don't already have the tools and are not knowledgeable in delta ring, gas-block removal and installation, I would refer you to a qualified gunsmith. Having built several AR's, I have the vise block, armorer's wrench, roll pin punches, ball-peen hammer, sight block, etc....

Good grip but heavy
Nice rail system it is heavy for the lenth. Make sure you want the rails in the spot you put them before tightening them. The coating flakes of a little. Very limited on locaton to place the three extra rails provided. Over all heavy poor quality for the name and brand.
can't think of cool title
This forend is installed on my 300 B.O. Am very pleased and feeling quite proud of myself for making this smart purchase. If thinking of installing yourself, think twice. At least proceed with caution.

Great product, installation can be tricky
I purchased this item for a customer who wanted it. I installed it but found that the installation can be a bit tricky. These hand-guards are made for a mil-spec barrel nut. If the nut is out of spec, as my customer's was, it can be a bit tricky to get it to fit. I had to change his barrel nut out for a "genuine Colt" barrel nut before it would fit properly. Be aware of this before you buy and you will be OK. The product is well built and one of the best hand-guards I have seen.

Best on the market
Troy Alpha handguards are the lightest, strongest i have found. I would recommend Troy products for all your tactical needs. Optics Planet gave me a great price and service is excellent. I originally bought a 13" model and returned it for an 11" model, turn around was quick and the whole process was smooth and painless, very happy!

Outstanding Product
Outstanding rail, much better than the quad rails I have used before. very light, rigid, and strong. Looks great on an M4. Versatile options for mounting gear with the rails provided. The weight is perfect and keeps my M4 light. The install can be a little intensive as the tolerances are minimal but that means a really good fit.

Troy 11" Alpha Rail - Great value, lightweight
Great rail. As stated, it's very light, has appealing looks, and is quite flexible with its ability to place rails where you want them without the burden of carrying unwanted weight as with a full quad rail. This was a no-brainer purchase with free shipping and the 10% discount over the holidays. 11" looks great on my 16" mid-length, mid-weight Spikes CHF barrel.

11" Troy Alpha Rail
This is a great product for those looking for a lightweight rail system with very good looks to boot. I love these modular rail systems allowing you to have the rails where you want them or need them. When I unboxed this item I was immediately impressed with the fit and finish, very nice. Also, I've dealt with Troy customer service before and it was way above average. This is a great company whose staff aims to please. You support them, they definitely support you.
