Good Rail for most applications
Excellent rail, I have troy rails on other AR's and decided to buy this for a 308 build. May not be as nice as a monolithic rail such as the Mega MKM but for the price its definitely a good deal.

Troy 12.6" Battle Rail Extreme DPMS LP
The Troy battle rail DPMS LP is one of the best hand rails out there, it is light, fully expandable (add additional rails) to suit the users needs. Replacing the factory gas block with Troy's LP was a simple process. The barrel nut was painless as was replacing it and attaching the Troy. Love the weight and size. Happy I didn't go with the longer 13.8"
Now the cons, it is expensive!!! That is the only con I have thus far.

Very well made rail!
The machine work and finish are amazing. The included barrel nut and rails make it a good value. Some may think it's not very secure because of only two screws clamping it together, but it feels good.

Troy 12.6" TRX 308 Battle Rail Extreme
Another quality product from Troy.
Downsides:
- Does require the skill set and tools to remove and install a barrel nut. Beyond that the install process to get the handguard on the rifle is quick and easy.
- Rail sections attach via a metal bar that goes on the backside/inside of the handguard. This metal bar sticks out enough on the inside of the handguard that it can cause clearence issues around the gas block if it is positioned inside the handguard. As such, it can limit the locations where you can install a rail section.
- Also, can be tricky to get the metal bar in place inside the handguard once it is installed on the rifle. Best to mount the rail sections where you want them before you install the handguard on the rifle.
Overall it is a very good product, just has a few quirks.
