Best in the market for me.

by Blue-collar, from RI, United States Written on April 25, 2021
I got the 15 inch M-lok Battle rail for my SAM-R rifle build. I love. It. Slim, strong, lightweight. Fit perfectly on a heavy profile Barrel. Just make sure you torque everything down to spec, and I just a little blue lock tight on all 4 locking tabs crank them down. Never had any issues with it rotating, or come lose. I do not have laser on it so I don’t know if it will shift. But to the best of my knowledge it haven’t moved on me. MY SAM-R is built for position shooting with 5.56 cartridge. All I have is a Glass and bi-pod.
Pros:
  • Lightweight, slim, super strong!
Cons:
  • None

Troy Industries Battle Rail

by Martin, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on April 25, 2021
Bought this rail because I've heard good things about Troy Industries and I wasn't disappointed. The rail is extremely well made and very light weight. I was shocked when I first picked it up because it didn't weigh anything for a 15inch rail. It is also very easy to install and it use a standard barrel nut. The only thing I wish it came with was a build in QD mount but you can buy one for the MLOK slots.
Pros:
  • durable and made well
  • Clean & Streamlined.
  • Lightweight & comfortable
Cons:
  • None

Good for Scoped Rifle

by The MC, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on June 23, 2020
These rails are great if you don't care about anti rotation. I previously did not think that this was a big issue, BUT then I noticed that the rail on my primary had shifted a few degrees most likely from it falling because I balanced it wrong on the buttstock. This was about two feet I guess. The rail is still tight and I can't turn it by hand using a reasonably amount of force. It is not overly complicated to take down, but I just don't feel like it, and given that MCMRs and MK14s exist, I'm not going to bother. It's unfortunate because I really like the size of this rail in terms of diameter. The MCMR and MK14s are very narrow. This one is sized just right for my reasonably sized man hands. But since it rotated I can no longer give it a five.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Fit
  • Asthetically Pleasing
  • Mlok all over
Cons:
  • Rotation

Great Rail. i have two

by The MC, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on April 4, 2020
I love this rail. It looks sweet. MLOK cuts seems spot on. Inhavent had any evidence of the rail bending or twosting in any way. The finish is some kind of a matte finish. It is T marked. It seems to work, i dont know what else good i can say aboht rhat rail. Ill give you the bad though.

It uses the standard barrel nut for an AR, so youll have to buy one and index it so that thr gas tube can go through the barrel nut. Additionally, its kind of a pain in the butt to get it aligned to the upper receiver. Asife from timing the barrel nut, the installation of the eail takes about as long it rakes to insrall the BCMs and Midwest Industries G3. The most consistent is the BCM. I like the look of this one better, and the finish on the G3 better. As such, i give it 4.5 stars and the other 5.0 since you dont have to index the barrel nut to the gas tube. Also, the anti rotation tabs on this could use sone beefing up.

Definitely for competition, i dont know about hard duty use of end of times. Home defense sure. That said im upgrading to the MK14 for defense when I get the chance. While i like MLOK on the offset positions, i havent been able to use or seen the need use them on anything. I use offset mounts for my flashlights and dont know what id out at 4:30 or 7:30. I like the looks of the Geissele and the weight saving measures they've taken over the BCM.
