Good Looking, Good Value, Awesome Quality
Unlike the Daniel Defense fixed front sight that can be rocked into any position, Troy's fixed front is tight and designed to be slid onto the furthest position on the rail. If you plan on mounting it any further back be prepared to lube and maybe even do some tapping with a non-marring tool. It also has a slightly longer foot print than the DD fixed sight, covering 3 pic slots vs two. Sight picture is excellent and IMO even pleasing to the eye. classic quality fixed front sight
Does exactly what it need to for a better price than some of the newfangled fixed irons that are 2-3x the price for no reason

Very Good Sight but...
It's a very good sight to mount an looks great for my huild but it's very loose with the provided screw it came with. I compared another screw to a Daniel Defense Fixed Rear Sight that used a a tad bit wider screw which fit snug into the rail. The Troy screw is wiggles (just by itself). Now I would just use the DD screw and call it a day but the mount only take the very screw it came with so for now the only remedy is to wedge thick tape in the open spaced area to tighten it better. Troy will need to widen the hole and use a screw that fit more snug in place in rail. I believe the "Dan" commented in this review also of the same issue. It's a screw issue, not a mount issue.

Out of spec
Bought and tried to install today and it’s out of spec. Won’t secure properly on any of my uppers. Wobbly despite tightening down as much as possible. Have a different one and it’s been great but this one is off and I’m past the return window. Won’t purchase anything Troy again.

Quality build. The sight perfectly fulfilled specs and is rock-solid.

Rock solid, light, versatile
Bought for a wildcat build, and it sat on my JP rail perfectly flush with the last pic slot! Ended up moving it to a secondary on an FM9, and it was really sng on that rail and didn't clear the forward CH, but was easily remedied. Even after removing material right at the bottom of the clamps, it's still solid as ever

Surprising
Paired this with troys rear sight and put them on a budget AR10 I planned to mess around with then sell, but those two sights together were great. Messed with mechanical zero a bit and then I was getting great results ringing steel offhand at 100.

Great Sights!
I put this with Troys rear battle sight OY-IRN-DOABATTLEFIX-SSIG-FBS-RDBT-00 which is an awesome pairing. They fit together nicely, are do not interfere with the red dot also mounted on the same rifle and they are tough. Easy to adjust and rugged. A great buy

Great Fixed Iron
This is a great front sight! The machining is really nice and the construction is solid and sturdy. The logo is also subtle which is nice as I don't really care to have branding stamped on every accessory. If you are running a lower 1/3 I would definitely recommend this item.
