The zipper fly is preferable to the button fly. With the button fly the fly flap wears, and fades, over the buttons. This makes for subtle light spots at the fly. Kind of like little headlights in the crotch. Sorry for the pun. Recommend the zipper fly. All my previous experience indicates that there will be some button that will eventually need to be reattached. The side cinches are next to useless - don't rely on them to keep pants up. Love the LARGE cargo pockets. Button, rather than Velcro closure superior because Velcro gets blocked by dryer lint. Overall quality excellent.
Pros:
- Durable. Large cargo pockets. No Velcro.
Cons:
- Side cinches are useless for keeping waist tight.
