Adequate in a hurricane - TRU-SPEC H2O Proof Gen-2 Parka - Men's

I received this just in time to wear it in Hurricane Matthew. Initial impression, it kept me 98% dry in heavy wind and 3+ hours of rain. It is not 100% water proof. After 3 hours of downpour and side winds. Leaked a little around the wrist and on shoulder seams, enough to notice, but not enough to get me wet or be aggravating. Runs to the large side, so layering in winter should not be a problem. Appears to be decently made. It has the multiple pockets in the right places. All the gear I stowed in them stayed dry. Although the hood is large (same size as mil spec version and designed to fit over kevlar helmet), it stayed put and kept the water off my head. I did notice that once I took my ball cap off the hood would drop down a little and block the vision occasionally. Overall, it did a better job than I expected it to on a very miserable "torture test" day. If it can do well under the extreme conditions of a hurricane, I am certain it will be good in normal rain storms and soggy days.
