tru glo nexus bdc
i did not buy this scope at optics planet. i found online at academy sport. it was on sale for $99! regular price was $169. (cheaper here now) shipped to my house for $105 something. i normally dont give 5 star ratings to anything. i own several $900plus scopes, and i dont consider any of them perfect. that being said, because of the price i paid and the clarity of reticle i gave it 5 stars. mounted on 270 with no problems . everyone knows the recoil of a 270. bdc is easy to see and eye relief is great. i have paid $170 for scopes that weren't of this quality. well worth what optics ...

Bought as a back-up.. now it's my go-to
I've got a Leupold, three mid-low range Vortex scopes and this thing. 6 or 7 years ago I was on my way to a hunting trip and realized that I didnt have my Leupold with me... I stopped at Academy and bought this for like $100. I used it that trip and didn't really have any complaints but never used it again for a long time. Since then I have purchased two Vortex HP 4-16x42, and a DiamondBack Tactical 6-24x50 (obviously not for hunting but for load testing). I've become accustomed to those scopes for a long time now that I shoot a lot and reload. Well, for the first time since I bought that scope I needed it as a back-up. I pulled it back out and put it on my AR for a hog hunter. Wow. The thing is just way nice. The glass is GREAT quality, the turrets are good, the zoom is good, low light/night performance is SUPERB, and my favorite thing about it: it has the BEST eye box in my inventory. At this point it is seriously my go-to hunting scope now. It tracks, it holds zero, and it was only $100 bucks. This has to be the best rifle scope under $200 and the best rifle scope ever made for the money.... im choosing it over my leupold 3-9x40 with a pickier eye box and the worst turrets of all time. The only nit-picking complaints I might could throw out there is that the scope is very very long. It is just about the 3xavt same length as my DiamondBack Tactical 6-24x50
