Most Helpful Positive Review Amazing Barrel!
It’s worth the money guys. Prices probably rise and fall, but I’m thoroughly impressed. I bought the black one for my custom Glock 43 with a Brownells slide and when I took it to the range for a test, i nearly had a bullseye on the first shot from 7 yards(self defense range). The barrel is accurate ...

Not too overly sized

by Paul, from CA, United States Written on July 7, 2023
My primary reason to purchase aftermarket barrels is to be able to easily distinguish handguns that I almost always buy in pairs. My goal is not to increase accuracy when target shooting. I usually don't want to mess with the internals, but the barrel can be easily removed and replaced if there are issues. Aftermarket barrels are generally oversized, and that can slightly help with accuracy if you are a truly an ace shooter (not many non-competition shooters can out-shoot their OEM barrels). The tradeoff for greater accuracy is reduced reliability. Because I have handguns for self-defense, it is important that I don't lose reliability. The TD barrel I received today for a Glock 43X looks extremely similar to the OEM in terms of size and cuts, and that is a very good thing. Inserting it into the slide, I can tell that it is just slightly larger than OEM and fits slightly tighter into the slide (but not by too much). You have to maintain some wiggle room. It is the black nitride color which has a true, consistent black finish that blends well into the Glock nDLC finish. I frequently hear about finish issues - I don't expect that to be a problem with the black nitride. I will update or post again regarding shootability and finish wear after a day at the range after I receive a TD barrel in copper. A very snug fit will wear the finish more than a looser finish, another reason to be glad that the barrel does not differ to much from OEM spec.
Pros:
  • Fit and finish
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Any use (range shooting, self-defense)

FTF Defensive Loads

by Johnny, from MA, United States Written on August 13, 2021
Too many FTF with 124gr and 147gr Federal Premium HST JHP. Also many FTF 124gr Speer Gold Dot JHP. Can’t recommend this company or it’s so-called “match grade” products. (These barrels barley shoot dirty Blazer Brass 115gr ball ammo.) Useless for personal or home defense. Be wary.

43 Gold TiN is a bad idea

by Brett R., Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on April 16, 2021
The Gold TiN coating wont last the first 50 rounds. Their customer service rep informed me "This is caused by the design of the hood of the barrel itself on the G43" They did say they would recoat it for me but there is no point if its just going to happen again. I cant return it for a refund because its been used. Guess I made a $190 mistake by selecting this barrel. I expect the coating to wear over time but not in the first 50 rounds of ever shooting with it. The add goes on and on about how great it is "Gold TiN coating is considered one of our performance enhancing coatings and provides both increased lubricity and wear resistance to the steels surface." NONE of which hold true. Save your money and go a different route.
