This tritium sight is suitable for close-distance, primarily self-defense situations. Because only one side of the blade-style sight post has the dot on it, you can only adjust the front sight by full revolutions, making its adjustment 1/4 as precise as a typical A2 front post sight.
But, for being visible in low light situation for the purpose of presenting a clearly visible front sight, it excels.
