Fantastic shooter!
I bought this to assembly a 762x39 rifle to try and see how well I could combine an ar15 lower and see how it all functions. And I’m proud to say it’s better than the sights I have. Now it’s time to look at scopes to see how far this puppy will reach

So Far OK Basic 16" 7.62x39mm AR-15 Complete Upper Receiver
First, let me say I was skeptical about ordering this since I know nothing about TRYBE Defense. But I took the plunge based on price and reviews. So far this seems to be an OK basic 16" 7.62x39mm AR-15 Upper. I still don't know who actually makes these for TRYBE Defense but I do know that the entir...

Tough call
I was quite happy with it when it arrived. The price for a complete upper with a bcg was unbeatable. First thing I did was replace the firing pin. The stock one wouldn't fire steel case ammo. The other short coming is the handguard. Came loose after first use. I had to put a "beer can shim" in between the barrel nut and handguard in order to limp it through until the new handguard I ordered arrived. In the end, I should have gotten a Ghost or something else. I have some doubts about the materials used, as there are no markings on the barrel, and when I purchased it the description said it had mild length gas.
Pros:
- Mostly works
Cons:
- I had to replace parts for it to function.
Best Used for:
- range toy

4.5 this a rating I gave it
Carbine length gas system
1-9.5 twist ratio
Not 1-10
It’s a little heavy. Some may prefer this feature. At the time I didn’t know how much I would disappoint this decision.
Otherwise it’s straight shooting and over torqued on every bolt and nut I guess so it never comes loose on you while ur shooting.that’s smart…
If you don’t care about those features then you’ll find your 5th star.

Nice out of the box complete upper
Reluctant to fully 100% support this yet as I have only run 1 mag through it so far. The fit and finish is really nice and seems pretty solid so far. No reliability issues or anything.

Great upper
I would give the finish an 8 out of 10 still very good. The functionality was flawless, I put it on a spikes lower and never had an issue. Fired consistently, ejected properly and no feed issues right out of the box. It's worth knowing it does have the enhanced firing pin already installed. I was shooting mainly brass (about 100 rounds so far) but also fired some wolf steel case and had no issue. I actually took a "no fire" wolf round that failed to fire from an ar with a standard firing pin and loaded it in this one and it fired no issue. Would definitely purchase again.

Do these 3 things and you too can a 7.62!
Got it in and packing was good. Upper was nice and tight. Everything was torqued to spec. Ditched the bcg for my BCM and took the actual bolt carrier from this one and replaced the extractor, firing pin, and extra power hammer spring. Running 28 round Duramags with it. I’m a brass snob so it’s your call if you prefer steel case. It ran like a sewing machine and it’s sub moa at 60 yards. The holes were touching. I used BRA pin, extractor, and spring. I also suggest swapping out the brake. There’s a Midwest industries 5/8x28 brake on here that’s pretty sweet

Would not fire 7.62x39. Not enough strike to the primers. 3 different kinds of ammo with out a single fire. I bought an enhanced firing pin and enhanced hammer spring. Will be trying it out today. READ reviews of 7.62x39 AR problems. Problem is real!!!
