dubyam's Review of TRYBE Defense AR Ambidextrous Enhanced Mil-Spec Charging Handle
Picked this up on the cheap to toss onto a bargain build. Works well enough. Finish scrapes off easily on the sides from riding inside the upper receiver - even with a liberal coating of EWL, as I run my ARs wet. I think this is directly related to the less robust build. Not sure if the material thickness is not up to what my other charging handles are, but this one flexes a lot more than other CHs I have, even the cheapie milspec ones from build kits. Description says it's 7075-T6, but it really feels like maybe it's 6061. Maybe that's the material thickness but either thickness or alloy is giving me a lot of flex with this piece. I wouldn't put this on a defensive-use rifle. It works fine on a range gun for plinking and coyote control (where a problem won't cost me my life).
At this point, price has gone up a fair amount from what I paid (over 30%) and I don't think I'd buy it at the current price of $35.
