Clearly the op's review goes without much build experience.The tab is precisely offset to accommodate holding the buffer retaining pin/detent from one side only. Some buffer tubes have the tab centered with a slot to allow the pin to protrude. This one does not...both tubes work just fine. This tube will still center the stock to your rifle perfectly...�
