Most Helpful Positive Review Easy conversion to 9mm
What is the price of ammunition skyrocketing these days thank you Mr. Biden and you sorry socialist Democrats it’s nice to easily convert my 40 Smith & Wesson to 9 mm ammo to save a little money here and there takes less than 40 seconds to convert and will pay for itself overtime. Thank you trybe.
Most Helpful Negative Review Glock 22/31 9mm Threaded Conversion Pistol Barrel - Not Stamped 9mm
The barrel works fine, but I would have expected it to have "9mm Para" or "9x19" stamped on it, so anyone that picked this G23 up, would know that it was not a .40 S&W. Just my opinion. I find that other brands are stamped with the caliber rather than the Brand name.

works for my intended use

by Plumber, from NH, United States Written on September 11, 2024
I surprised my dad with a second slide for his glock 22. He shoots 40 cal and i shoot 9mm.

Don't want to be left out of the fun.

The barrel works as advertised, its 0.35 millimeters thick on the side to fit in a factory glock slide. The slide i bought for it, it does fit in there just fine.

If you're using it in a factory glock slide, you need to file it down or take it to a gun smith.

Worth the price+

by Hoekster, from MI, United States Written on September 14, 2023
I had no problems installing and using this barrel. There was only one glitch that I figured out quickly... With the new barrel installed, I had trouble reinstalling the slide on the frame. I found that I had to pull down on the slide lock during the process, and then everything worked fine. My only disappointment was that accuracy was poor with my first couple mags. I attribute much of that to two factors: First, the barrel is new and not"shot in." And secondly, I was using some questionable quality reloads. Otherwise, funtion was near perfect.
Pros:
  • Price, functionality
Cons:
  • Tight fit to frame (used slide lock)
Best Used for:
  • fun

Filing and fitting required if not take to a experienced gunsmith

by Papa Longstroke, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on August 27, 2023
Ok so upon reviews I see people with issues running this barrel even I had “Fitting” issues but after inspection some may need to hold down the slide stop release “little piece to remove the whole slide “ you will be able to get this on now the problem I came to was slide being out of battery meaning slide did not close all the way so I had to file a tiny bit on the breach face by chamber and bam it fitted shot some 9mm and no issues

Nice finish, works flawlessly so far in my GEN3 Glock 22

by BJ502, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on May 6, 2023
I had no prior experience with this brand, so I lined this barrel up next to my Glock OEM .40 S&W barrel and my Lone Wolf .357 Sig threaded barrel for comparison. The quality and location of the locking lugs and spring cutouts appeared identical to me. A trip to the range later, it functioned perfectly with both FMJ and HP ammo. No noticeable shift in point of aim vs my other barrels. I went with the gold finish to help distinguish it at a glance from my other barrels. It’s a very smooth and even finish, no complaints here. Easy to install, no issues whatsoever.
Pros:
  • Easy to install
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Shooting cheaper ammo at the range.

Would buy again

by JR, from TX, United States Written on October 26, 2022
I ordered my conversion barrel and as soon as I got it , i through that baby on my Glock. At the range I noticed the spring rod was coming lose were it sits on the barrel. Now I still had a 20lb spring rod so I believe this is why I was getting jammed. But I’ve never seen one that’s not nice and tight I’m it’s place. But even with this is still love it.

Bought twice does not fit Glock 22

by Comps, from TX, United States Written on August 28, 2022
I purchased this item twice and returned it twice. Not sure if the problem is with Optics Planet or Trybe, but it does not fit a Glock 22. The threaded cap interferes with the slide and the standard spring ends up being too short. After receiving the first one I requested a replacement from Optics Planet as it seemed they had sent me a barrel for a Glock 23. I had to send in the mislabeled part and then wait a month for them to send me a replacement. When I received the replacement it had the same issues and might have even been the same part. After that I gave up on optics planet and found a different retailer in hopes they have better quality control. Do not purchase the DLC coated Glock 22 conversion barrel from optics planet as they will send you one for a Glock 23.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • wrong advertized size
Best Used for:
  • paper weight
