Trybe defense 9mm hybrid bcg
Had the same issue as jb. Fired, extracted, and ejected first round then had to manually cycle to fire again. Removed firing pin and found it did not have a spring (not typical for 9mm bcg's). Added firing pin spring and now it runs. Using Endomag and Hahn mag block with Colt stick mag.

Insert installed upside down
Well machined bolt with nice nitride finish. When I first installed the bolt it would not close into battery. Upon examination I noticed that the bolt carrier insert was installed upside down with the ramp towards the middle of the carrier. I drove the pin out, flipped the insert, and reinstalled t...

Trybe BCG Review
I've got a few hundred rounds on the Trybe 9mm BCG in black nitride and it’s been rock solid. The machining is clean, tolerances feel tight, and the QPQ is smooth and slick without being overly glossy. It dropped right into my AR-9 build and has cycled everything from 115gr to 147gr without a hiccup. Recoil impulse feels consistent, extraction is positive, cleanup is easy. For the price, it’s a really solid 9mm BCG.
Pros:
- good finish
- functions perfectly
Cons:
- None

Trybe 9mm bcg AR hybrid
Not sure exactly what Trybe 9mm heavy BCG was sent on my order for 15.8oz. Dose Not match description or picture at Optics Planet. Searched Trybe Defense website, picture is there, but not on Optics planet - specifications do Not match Trybe Defense states 14.6oz. , totally different design. Nitride finish rubs off with hand cycling of bolt. Definitely stay away from Trybe Defense bcg for 9mm.

Very nice bcg.
High quality finish and very good machining. Will look great inside my new ar9 build.

poor quality machining
You can see terrible machining cuts everywhere. Scarring all over even through the finish. Like it was cut with a Dremel tool
Would recommend: No
BCG Failure
BCG was being used in a 7.65x25 build and the carrier key sheared off. Purchased specifically because of the BCG weight. Total round count is just over 500.

- Paperweight

gold accents
This was the perfect finish for my black and gold AR9. Gold color really accents the rifle. Unfortunately, finding Gold AR accent parts is a chore by itself but this BCG was a perfect color match, Have had no malfunctions and highly recommend this BCG. This is my 2nd Trybe 9mm bcg from OP... Highly recommended

Looks good
I haven't finished the build yet, but the fit is good in my American Tactical polymer upper.
Would recommend: Yes
Beautiful and reliable
It has a wonderful shiny black finish that is very very slippery. There is also a 5.56-style extracto and feed underlug. It is a little expensive, but I love mine. Oh I also have about 250 rounds of Winchester white box through the rifle and this Trybe BCG is doing it's job well.
Pros:
- 5.56 extractor, finish
Cons:
- pricy ,but worth it
Best Used for:
- AR9
Would recommend: Yes
