Most Helpful Positive Review Amazing Trigger
This Trigger is amazing!!! The Reset is almost Nothing... It's freaking amazing!
Most Helpful Negative Review Disappointed
The trigger seemed fine in the article, once opened it did not include mounting hardware (not mentioned). After instalation the trigger was loose from side to side and up and down. Used another brand of trigger which came with hardware and was not loose.

Gritty trigger

by Xmodo, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on July 12, 2026
Light pull weight and short reset. The creep is very gritty. Wish they would of polished it before sending out or maybe needs break in period. If it was a smooth creep to break would of gave a 5/5. Overall satisfied cause I got it on sale for less than $70. If it was full price I would of returned it

Trybe defense trigger

Pull weight is a little closer to 3 lbs. 0 creep and a nice reset. For the price it just couldn't be beat.

Flat trigger, lots of creep

by Rsecrist, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on May 12, 2026
Ordered a blue flat option. Box did not include anti-walk pins and it was about as creepy as the old man from family guy that wants Chris to reach into his pocket. Looks good, but would not recommend in the future.
Pros:
  • Flat trigger, looks cool
Cons:
  • Creepy
Best Used for:
  • Non-precision events

This TRYBE Defense V2 Single Stage AR-15 Drop-In Trigger has performed excellently. 3.5 lb pull with crisp resets. Also works well with the Atrius Development Forced Reset Selector.

A little gritty but we can fix that.

by Rich, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on April 15, 2026
This trigger look just like one of the RISE trigger.
Out of the box it was a little gritty with a hint of creep but consistently peaks at 3.5 +/-0.2lbs at the middle of the bow on a digital strain gauge meter with a '1911 short' travel and reset.
Otherwise, a crisp break with virtually no pre/over travel.
A gentle polishing with ceramic stone, very little, just to speed up the break in, and a little lube took care of the grittiness.
Putting the trigger pack in to a chassis and tightening the chassis screws took out most of the creep,
the rest is hammer movement but it's all very little to start off with and the what remains is safety related.
No change in performance or weight after several hundred cycles of dry fire.
Very nice.
I bought 2 more.
Pros:
  • Unitized trigger group, not depending on frame geometry to maintain consistency for performance/tuning.
Cons:
  • MFG could have spent an extra minute, literally, polishing trigger and hammer during manufacturing so I didn't have to.
  • The rest is close to perfect.
Best Used for:
  • Whatever you need a 3.5 lbs consistent break and pretty crisp single stage trigger with short reset for.

Paid $17 and I'd pay $99.

I bought two of the gold straight shoe Trybe Defense V2 Single Stage triggers for my latest two AR builds. I was planning on a couple of single-stage Triggertech Duty 5.5lb triggers, but for the price I had to give this trigger a shot. Mine have no creep and the reset is as crisp. Honestly, I suspect the negative reviews are from user error. Let me address the concerns generally raised:

1. Sloppy fit: This fits perfectly fine and has two set screws that must be tighted down once the trigger is installed. The order should be: 1. Drop trigger into lower, 2. insert safety, 3. insert trigger pins, 4. use included allen wrench to tighten the right and left set screws all the way down (the set screws under the hammer spring, they are easy to push aside). The middle set screw adjusts the pull weight and has been filled with an expoxy. This is clearly not meant to be changed because of "lawyers", but if you know what you are doing you can easily figure out how to make modifications. My two are factory set to 4.75lb and 5.75lb each. I generally prefer a 4.5lb to 5.5lb trigger for a fighting rifle so these are in the ballpark for what I was looking for. If you are expecting a 3.5lb trigger, you might be disappointed or you will need to tune the trigger with the middle set screw (proceed at your own risk and liability)

2. No trigger pins included: Umm, definitely user error. There are different versions sold with and without trigger pins. Pick up a cheap set of KAW Valley trigger pins ...

for 17$ well worth it

by Cobs, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on April 6, 2026
I got one for 17$ and it's nicer then some of the Rise triggers I have. It's not 3.5lb pull and more about 4.5lb to 5 but if u polish the sear ledge down with super fine grit stone u can take it down to 4lbs or less. Zero creep as well. Amazing reset

Have not taken it to the range yet, but on the bench pool feels smooth and crisp
There was no instructions in the box, but it was easy to install but if I would not have watched the videos showing how to put a cassette pot trigger in I probably wouldn’t have got it right
Pros:
  • Looks good
  • EZ install
  • Fast shiping
Cons:
  • No instructions
  • Locking screws hard to get to
Best Used for:
  • Using it forTarget and hunting

by Team.1ndependent, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on March 10, 2026
Smooth, buttery trigger at a fraction of the cost of triggers that aren’t nearly as nice. The break is short and sweet, and the reset clean and crisp. Super nice, versatile trigger that fits (drops in) like a glove.
Pros:
  • Weight
  • Crisp
Cons:
  • Color options
Best Used for:
  • target
  • combat
  • competative shooting
  • Drills
