No way this charging handle is too long. I would be willing to bet you probably hadn't taken your AR apart very much. I'm pretty sure that you're gas tube is slightly bent and doesn't allow the charging handle to guide all the way home. This being a new handle... the tolerances are probably a lit...

Too long, didn't fit
I was ecstatic when it arrived in the mail. My standard A2 charging handle was digging into my index finger and I was ready to replace it. When I got it out of the package I separated the upper from the lower and out in the charging handle only to find out that it was too long.
faulty charging handle
doesn't close the bolt all the way when fully pulling back the handle. Tested with two different guns to make sure the problem wasn't on my end. Very cheap and unreliable it always leaves the bolt out of battery.

Great charging handle buying a 3rd now
I am right now purchasing my third charging handle for $27. You can’t beat this deal, I have $80 charging handles. This one performs as good, No need to spend $80 for charging handle as long is this companies giving them away for 27 bucks.

a good charging handle with great price
have shot about 100 rounds with this charging handle, a great upgrade from mil-spec single-sided charging handle.
it fits my AR-15 PSA upper quite well, I believe no problem for most mil-spec upper receivers.
light weight and the sliding is smooth with a little bit oil to lubricate it.
Love the ambi feature and the price is very affordable.

Affordable ambi
Just got mine in today. It fits in my Palmetto KS 47 perfectly. This is a great option for anyone wanting an ambi charging handle without having to pay over $60. The texture of the release notches is very aggressive so if you have soft hands, start building up some callous. Overall, excellent product.
