Defected spring
Every now and then, Optics Planet will entice us with these incredible deals which often times may seem too good to be true. I've gotten some pretty cool stuff on some of these deals but I've also been the victim of defected items on some of these final sales. This item is no exception.
I usually stick with high-end function-first brands like BCM, Geiselle, LMT, etc. High end parts and basic colors.

mag extension
The Tyrant mag extension is very well made and easy to install. I have only been able to load 18 rounds so far of the potential 20 rds.

Great mag extension.
Looks are good. Once it's in place it provides 3 to 4 extra rounds, although it's very difficult to add the last ones. Markings from the machining can be seen on the sides, not too fond of this.

Glock Mag extension
Excellent product great look and performance. Have used them on several weapon platforms and it provides the enhancement that i look for, along with the upgrade look for a custom build to the Glock pistol.

Not the same quality as ones directly from Tyrant
I was unfortunately a bit disappointed with this extension. Even though it was approximately the same price as the extension available directly from Tyrant, the one I received came in different packaging, had a slightly different color, felt lighter and appeared to be of lesser quality than the ones I have received directly from Tyrant in the past. While it is still a usable extension and just as easy to install, I just did not feel that it is anywhere near the quality of the previous extensions that I have purchased directly from Tyrant. I would not mind purchasing more of these in the future, but believe the price should be adjusted accordingly.
That said, I like this particular design as it provides me with an additional 5 rounds and the added weight makes it easier to remove/change magazines so it is great for the range. I would note that I generally switch to a magazine without this extension for IWB carry because, for me anyway, the extension seems to catch on hang up when drawing it from the holster.
