Bart's Review of U.S. Optics B-17 3.2-17x50mm Rifle Scope
I purchased the B17 in May 2018. Mounted with MI 34mm mount. Installed on AR-30 Rifle.
Installation went good, no problems or issues there. 1st time at range, easy to sight in but, the turrets are not positive. Clicks feel mushy and you are not sure if it really moves or not. Took a precision rifle class and the scope had a total failure on the windage side. Feels like it is grinding, you move the turret "R" and the bullet goes left. Very disappointed. Sent the B17 to US optics for correction. Rx'ed the B17 back last week. Remounted and took it back to the range. Windage turret feels like a kids toy top. When you pull out the windage knob, the top moves and is not secured. Tried to follow the "Zero" procedure on the elev*. It seems like the top two pieces are welded together. Unable to set the Elev* back to "Zero" following the OSO procedure. POS!!! Not sure if "0" is 1/2 way between the last click line or the middle of the first line.
Scope does not focus below 100 yards. Unable to get a clear focus at 50 yards. Sent back (again) to USO today for correction and or repair.
I took off a SWFA SS scope (Fixed 16x) (Hello $199.00) because, the glass was not clear past 500 yards.
Other then the glass not so clear past 500 yards, the SWFA scope worked great. It always returned to 0 and the clicks up/down and side to side were positive. Very sorry I wasted my $$ on the US Optics B17.
