Most Helpful Positive Review Uncles Mike's Inside-the-belt holster, Model 89162
I have used Uncle Mike's holsters for decades, during my time in law enforcement, and as a private citizen, exercising my right to concealed carry (with permit). The one con I listed is really not a con per se. The wear at the barrel end of the holsters comes with years and years of use. Pros: C...

Most Helpful Negative Review Casual Itp holster
Keeps moisture away from metal and is lightweight. I like to wear in the small of my back so the center belt loop gets in the way of the retainer clip making me have to go an inch or two over making it more uncomfortable. Sometimes when you draw the holster clip will not catch your belt and you draw...

Great Holster for General Storage

by E30Jason, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on July 20, 2018
I have two of these holsters that I keep my Walther PPQ and Sig P320 in when they are not in use or when transporting them to the range. They cover the bulk of the slide in soft neoprene and protect them from getting scratched or banged up when it my range bag.
Pros:
  • Protection of the gun
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Storage

Great for concealed carry

by Hwysupr, from NE, United States Written on June 9, 2016
Have been using this particular for the last 8 years. Tried leather, canvas, ankle and the Velcro chest wrap (I could probably dig them out and open a store). The Uncle Mikes holster fits great in the small of my back and with a long tailed shirt is very difficult to notice. Do wish the Velcro closer was a little stronger as on rare occasion when wearing and kneeling down or squatting I have had my glock fall out a couple times and felt it shifting a few times but not often for either. Very good holster and wearing daily lasts about two years.

Knew what I was buying

by Manticore, Verified Owner from NH, United States Written on February 28, 2016
I already have the right hand version but I injured my right arm last spring so I need to get a holster for left hand carry. Using the right hand version for the past 4 years, I knew exactly what I wanted to get for left hand carry. This is a great holster and a real bargain for the money. Uncle Mikes makes a great product.
Pros:
  • Inexpensive and well made
Cons:
  • Can be a bit trickey to reholster your pistol
Best Used for:
  • Concealed carry.

Simple, comfortable

by Larry from Kalifornia, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on December 3, 2014
I am a new CCW holder. I had no experience carrying a concealed weapon. The county I live in had never issued CCWs except in exchange for a political donation to the sheriff. There was therefore few citizens with actual concealed carry experience. Those that taught the required training classes, were either too opinionated or had no opinion at all as to what the "best" IWB holster was. I did a lot of reading on the internet and could see that the two general styles for IWB holsters were hard(and large) or soft(and small). The prices for Uncle Mike's IWB holsters were reasonable enough that I thought for $15, I would experiment. I bought both the 76151 (with retention strap) and the 89151 (without retention strap). I carried using the 76151 for a few weeks and decided to try the 89151. I favored the non-strap model. My carry gun fit OK, but since it is an older gun, the application guide had not been very helpful. I decided to try the "other" model that should also fit my gun. I bought a 76161 w/strap and a 89161 w/o/strap.

Examination of the size 15 and size 16 models revealed a "minor" pouch size difference that I could not see how it could make any difference in comfort or access. But it did, so I wore both the 76161 and the 89161 for a while and concluded the 89161 was best for my.

All four holsters are of equally high quality. I used them interchangeably for a couple of weeks and found that the 89161 worked best for me getting into/out of a car, and sitting ...

This is a great holster for the price. I didn't think this holster would be as good as it is because of the price. This is a great product and I plan on ordering more of this brand.
