Problems between switching between belt slide and paddle - Uncle Mike's Reflex Polymer Open Top OWB Belt Holster

I Bought two of these holsters, I was debating between the fobus roto and the UM reflex. I liked the retention system better on the reflex, but there were a couple things I didn't like. the paddle on the reflex holds the holster farther away from your body then most paddle holsters, also when I tried to switch back to the belt slide I was unable to loosen the machine screws because the metal insert the machine screw threads into would just spin in. I was unable to remove the paddle and switch back to the belt slide leaving me with a holster that didn't work for me.
