Ideal for your lever gun
This Uncle Mike's swivel set is a real bargain. The front clamp connects securely to the center of the 1894C rifle magazine tube. The rear screw threads into a pilot hole that is drilled into the stock midway between the butt pad and the Marlin "Bullseye" trademark. I then added the swivel eyes a shorter length traditional leather sling for a perfect setup. There is simply no better solution for installing a strap to your Western long gun.
Uncle Mike's Sling Swivels
I have used Uncle Mike's brand sling swivels on all of my firearms, for as long as I have had firearms. This set I just purchased recently for a brand new Remington 7600. I know it says it's for pre 1969 models, but, I assure you that if you don't mind the sling coming back with the slide action on the 7600's, it'll work just fine on the new ones too. I hate the barrel band, and this is an effective and efficient way to not have to use the band.

basic sling mount for an air rifle
I wanted to put a sling to carry an unshrounded crosman magnum springer air rifle. This seemed like a great way to go. So far, it's holding up; but something nags at me that the barrel side won't stay put for ever.. Keep an eye on it and you'll be fine.
