very high cut (knee high. that helps mitigate chaffing in the lower leg. very cool material. Keeps your feet very cool in the summer, but warm enough in the colder temps. doesn't slide too much inside my combat boots. I'm a size 10-10.5 US mens and I wear a large. I recommend to never bet black because its hard to see any blood on your feet from any open sores. also keeps your feet odorless. When i go humping, this is my sock of choice.

As noted by a previous reviewer, this sock is tall. At 6'-1" size 11.5 using a LG sock, I could easily bring this sock over my knee.
Not really a problem, but something that you should be aware of before purchasing.
I especially like that this sock is smooth and slick; I can get my 8" boots on and off very easily versus my other boot socks.
