Rds pistols are definitely the future, but are still experiencing growing pains. The unity slide allows the ability to use many different micro red dots. Allowing you to find a rds that works for you without committing to one system. Fde slide looks great. It has the scar look when paired with a factory fde frame. Unity's adapter plate tapped right in without any fitting. Two things seamed a little off. The first could be me as I'm less 800(20 with irons) rounds into this slide: irons are shooting high 3" at 30' and 7-8" at 60'. That said when I contacted unity they said they would take care of it. But being I've only briefly checked their poi, I'm waiting till I have more time to confirm the initial results. The second has to do with barrel fit. Both factory barrels I've tried have been lose, specifically where the rear of the barrel meets the channel above the striker on the slide. Fortunately the silencerco barrel fits perfectly. Didn't plan it that way, but sometimes you get lucky. Things to note: because of the mounting plate the rds sits higher than a slide cut for a specific rds. Positive if you're trying to clear a suppressor. Possibly a very small negative if you want the smallest possible option. The beveled slide can slightly change holster fit, depending on holster obviously. Another thing to note: the irons are plain black and smooth.
