I am new to owning NVGs and spent a lot of time researching brands and the technology before buying anything. I got my PVS-14s from US Night Vision and was so impressed by the quality of that unit I knew that I found a company I could trust for quality gear. After some time saving up I was ready to pickup a mount to get this attached to my helmet. When I saw Optics Planet had the USNV brand mount and at a better price I was sold.

When the unit arrived I inspected it and was very happy with the quality and craftsmanship. The unit didn't fit into my helmet out of the box, but after talking to customer service at USNV this is not uncommon and you are actually required to, "form fit", it to your mount due to the slight variations in what is, "milspec". Even though that was a bummer to do to such an expensive item I got out my hand file and begin to slowly adjust the fit and now it fits perfectly into my mount. To be clear I spent maybe 30 minutes taking a few strokes on the file and checking the fit to the helmet. I took it slow and the patience paid off. This thing is fantastic, just keep in mind you probably will have to adjust the fit to your helmet's mount.
