The clip is really not very good anyway. Looks like some cheap metal that will break pretty easy. I will cut it off and replace with something that will hold. So I spend a couple of bucks extra on another clip. No big deal, and was what I expected anyway. The remainder of the sling is good. I may replace the plastic triangle with a large "key-ring" metal piece, but it is most likely going to be OK for what I am using it on. I do like the extra elastic piece that covers the clip. No sense in scratching up stuff unnecessarily. I am not even going to see if it was made in USA...OK...I checked...MADE IN CHINA. Which is what I expected. I did enough this year to support the economy...so I went cheap this time.
