Great fit on your MP5. Much easier to install than the original designed claw mount.

This picatinny rail tat to the top of your MP5 is not the longest, but with a smaller weapon like the MP5, it can't be. It is fairly easy to add to your setup with a little bit of time and thought, it can be done in about a minute. I'm using it to host a Red Dot and magnifier setup, and so far it has maintained zero very well. I do suggest using Blue loctite to keep it in place.

Superb fit and finish. Very low rail height - comparable to welded on pic rails. Very easy to install. Gone are the clunky, blocky pic rails for this platform. It also includes an extra lug and screw.

Don’t sleep on this mount. If you’ve ever tried installing literally any other brand of mount you know how frustrating and difficult it is to get on with the tiny beveled lock nuts.. Not this one. UTG changed the mounting system to a different rounded insert type of lock nut that is probably the best I’ve ever used. Also it’s very low profile so you can co-witness easier, solid construction and light. UTG has definitely stepped up their game over the last few years. I highly recommend this mount.

I installed this mount on an MKE AP5SD. This is the only mount that I have found so far that actually shows the entire MKE serial number. HK serial numbers are placed differently. This mount would show either makers serial number. Very easy to install, and it comes with a spare lug and screw. It's almost as low as a PTR welded on pic rail. Beautifully made, flawless fit and has a streamlined look missing on other HK platform rails.

I will be buying more of these to retrofit my other MKE MP5 family of weapons.

My end plate the bottom holes don’t line up on my Mac 5k

Great material but like others have mentioned does not fit flush with dimensions of MAC 5k. There should probably be a list of will NOT fit this mount.

I installed this rail on a MAC5. It did not seat level and cannot be adjusted as other mounts due to the nature of the claws that hold the mount to the firearm. I used an inch-lb. driver to install the mount and correctly torqued the screws. After determining that the mount could not be leveled, I began to remove it only to find that one of the screws had galled so badly in the claw that even with the application of heat it could not be removed. That process destroyed a pair of Torx bits. I finally managed to remove the remaining three screws, which allowed me to remove the mount from the firearm. From there, the mount went straight into the round file as it deserved, to be replaced with a quality MI mount. Lesson learned.

Bottom line: If you buy this and it doesn't seat level, good luck removing the mounting screws. Better yet, learn from my mistake and buy a better quality mount.

Had to modify slightly to fit on a mp5 22 lr umarex but it locks on solid with no play and low enough to still use iron sights . I mounted a sig romeo red dot with a riser mount to allow me to use either the red dot or the irons.
