I wanted to like this product. It's a very cool toy, and a fairly unique product. Unfortunately, mine arrived with a loose lens in the barrel of the scope rendering it unusable except in a downward orientation. The thing was sufficiently inaccessible that it didn't look as though I could fix it easily. Worse still, it looked as though it was probably originally held in place with adhesive only. Not trusting that a replacement scope wouldn't have a similar adhesive failure in the future, I reluctantly returned the scope for a refund rather than a replacement.

For those wondering, both the barrel and the prism extension bar seem pretty tough (although I'm not sure how useful the latter really is). The carrying case also seems pretty decent. I'm less confident in the optics, both because of the aforementioned loose lens, and because the movement of the focusing eyepiece seemed a bit rough. The scope seems to offer some degree of magnification, but I'm not sure how much.

Fortunately, the prepaid return label provided by Optics Planet made shipping it back rather painless.
