Vanguard Spirit ED Binoculars
After looking through a pair of Swarovski binoculars a buddy of mine had, I decided I wanted an upgrade from my old Bushnell glasses. After spending days reading reviews and looking at prices I was having a hard time justifying spending that kind of money, but I still wanted an upgrade. One of the reviews compared the Vanguard Spirit ED to Swarovski. If they thought enough of the Vanguards to compare them to Swarovski I decided I had to research the Vanguards. Nowhere did I find anyone that was sorry that they purchased the Vanguard Spirit ED, and since I had a coupon from Opticsplanet and ...

awesome
just back fro 9 day trip to Costa Rica, and used them every day to see wildlife. About 70 different birds, crocodiles, lizards, and even volcanos. Was much better than my 8x25 Nikons
Pros: like how it feels in my hand
Cons: a bit heavy

Vanguard 10x42 spirit ED
Second day I owned them the anti-fogging showed it's stuff. From 74 degree air-conditioned space to 105 degree backyard, no fogging! I have small hands and the Spirit style allows a good hand hold for a steadier viewing. I loved them so much I bought a second pair for my husband.
Pros: Build quality, smooth operation, anti-fogging
Cons: tight fitting case

Vanguard 10x42 Spirit ED Matte Black Roof Prism Binoculars
I neve owwned a good pair of binoculars and was amazed at the high prices. I stumbled upon a review for the Vanguard Spirit ED binoculars. It was a very good review so I looked for other reviews. Everyone seemed to love them so I thought I might as well give them a try because the prices was good - ended up paying less than $285.00 with coupon and rebate. The reviews were accurate - these binoculars are great and very light. Focusing and eye adjustments are very simple and easy to manipulate. The case and carrying strap flexibility are just an added bonus.
Pros: Compact, light, great quality, great case, great price
Cons: none

These optics rule!
I picked up my Spirit 10x42 ED after ALOT of searching around. I have two other pairs, that will remain nameless, but these Vanguards are so much better. Bird watching, boating, people watching, sight seeing....I've tried them all, and these glasses are the best I've seen. I'm even including some pretty quality glass makers in that statement. They are a newer company, but they are building some quality products.
Pros: Crystal clear image, quick focus, ergonomic feel, light weight
Cons: I haven't found any weaknesses to these binoculars, yet. But I am trying.

Super Value
I am new to good quality binouclars and so hesitated to spend this much money. But these turned out to be more than worth the price. They are razor sharp, crystal clear, and easy to use. I couldn't be happier with them.

vanguard spirit binos
Love these little guys. Vanguard has always made quality products and they stand by it. Hence the lifetime warranty. These are waterproof AND fogproof which is common but still not standard...at this price these stand up to some of the higher end nikon and steiner binos. Get em!
Pros: Price. Quality. Weather resistant.
