I'm on my 4th Porta-Aim rest. I use these at the range all the time, and I take them when I travel - mainly to Africa. I'm on my 4th one because everytime I show up with one, I get asked to leave it. This rest, coupled with a dog bone sand bag and an elbow bag, make for an outstanding bench rest for sighting in rifles. Very compact and portable, yet very stable. Highly recommend.

Handy and portable range rest

Vanguard Gun Rest

Took the gun rest to the range last week to zero my pistols. Actually worked better than I expected. Friday heading to the rifle range to zero a couple AR15's. For the money this has been a good purchase. It is also small and light weight, so taking it to the range was convenient.

great rest

This bench rest is light weight, sturdy and easy to transport in a range bag. Used it to sight in an AR and It exceeded my expectations for the price point.

Best Compact Front Rest

I've had bipods on all of my rifles. To me there is no replacement. However, there is a light weight,compact alternative that definitely has it's own merits. You're looking at it. Try it. I am using this with a heavy bull barrel target rifle and it is doing a pretty good job considering it doesn't have any whistles or bells.

I purchased this vanguard, gun, rest and I am very happy with it. ….It’s light , very portable and his folding legs. You simply throw it in your gun bag and use it at the range to sight-in your pistols. ….You can also use it easily with your rifles. ….Yes, I have a heavier rifle mount with all the bells and whistles for long range target shooting, but this one is perfect for most applications. This also comes with the barrel/guard pad that Velcros to the top of gun rest.

excellent tripod

This is a very light and compact tripod, practical as well. No need to attach any anything to rifle or pistol.

I bought this three years ago, and use it for .22 LR, 308, 6.5 CM bolt action and AR rifle shooting. I also tried to support the pistol shooting. It works flawlessly.

I will recommend this product to anyone.

Vanguard Porta-Aim Gun Rest

The Porta-Aim Gun Rest is solid and well constructed. Sturdy enough for just about any usage, fast, easy to get into position and makes a solid support. Height adjustment is easy and quick. It performs extremely well. The rest does not tilt, but it does pan. Benchrest ready and well suited for field work.

Very fast shipping and was packaged great. The gun rest is a lot easer to use than ur range bag. Tha height adjust is easy to use even with your gun in it. Would recommend this to everyone. Very lightweight and small to fit in any range bag.

Just what I was looking for

I use a diversity of guns for target shooting from a bench.
Not all of my guns or the ones lent to me by friendly fellow shooters, are equiped to take a bipod.
Moreover, the Porta-Aim is at least as stable if not more than a low cost bipod.
